Aromas of subtle, astringent, herbal peat and smoke. Underlying there is a lovely depth of barley and estery apricot, apple and pineapple along with a touch of vanilla. With time some heather and sweeter peat notes emerge as does some buttery American oak. It works really well.!
The palate opens with sweet barley, pineapple, apricot and pear, which mingles with s good amount of herbal peat and astringent salty/ mineral notes. The peat notes continue to build and the vanilla oak comes through on the middle. Long, herbal peat, sweet barley finish with a little herbal tannin.

Made from 71% Peated spirit aged for 11 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, blended with 10 year old un-peated spirit.
