Smoked bacon and hickory nose – Yum! Hints of juicy, winey red fruit, rose petal, barley and vanilla. Subtly sweet marzipan, estry apricot, banana, melon and earth appear, Great nasal progression!
The palate opens with the hickory smoked meat and supple raspberry jam. Hints of barley, green wood, burnt wood, peat smoke, marzipan and vanilla oil. Lovely earthy edginess to the middle. Long, juicy, chocolate coated spiced red fruit, apricot, almond and gristy barley finish. Lovely intensity.
