The nose is denser than the Timeless with more maturity. Baked apple, autumnal fruit, toffee, pastry, treacle and nutty sherry. The sherry is noticeable but doesn’t overwhelm the nose.
The palate opens with the creamy American oak and creamy sherry notes. Hints of baked fruit, pastry, cereal and lightly edgy, herbal Oloroso and spice. Good intensity and a mouth-watering, citric and spicy finish with lingering vanilla, sherried dried fruit and a subtle juniper/ botanical/ herbal after-taste.
