Collosorbo 2017 Brunello di Montalcino
Tasting Note
A delicious and rich nose of cooked plums, raspberry coulee, morello cherries, sweet baking spices and even Christmas cake. The palate is dense and decadent, delivering on all that was promised by the nose and then some, whilst a surprising and welcome acidity adds levity and a truly mouth-watering lift to the finish. The attractive baked quality to some of the fruit is pleasantly offset by gentle woody spice, sandalwood and cloves on the palate. This represents truly incredible value for money when one considers the quality that is in the glass and the price compared with its competitors.
