One Chain Vineyards is a project established by Peter Leske, MW Giles Cooke and MW Fergal Tynan, of Thistledown, which sources fruit from some of the finest and most established regions and growers in Southern Eastern Australia. Their goal is to create incredibly vibrant, fresh and accessible wines that are authentic expressions of their variety, whilst being presented in a unqiue and engaging way. With the innovative and unique ‘Cricket’ and ‘Character’ series, One Chain Vineyards is really making its mark. The ranges are beautifully produced and packaged, whilst benefiting from the same ultra premium quality fruit sourced for Thistledown.
The Cricket series is inspired by a love for the Australian national sport. The ‘Googly’, is a wonderfully elegant Australian Chardonnay, sourced from coolor climate vineyards, with tropical fruit and melon on the palate, balanced with lively, crisp citrus fruits and acidity. The ‘Wrong’un’, is a classic Austraian blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, with velvety palate of unctuous black and bramble fruits, sweet spice, liquorice and cassis. The Character series, is a highly distinctive collection of expressive and authentic wines from the premium regions of South Australia such as Langhorne Creek, the Barossa and Clare Valleys. One of the highlights from this range is ‘The Courtesan Riesling’, which delivers moutherwatering, rich and complex palate of lime, elderflower, grapefruit and quince.
