A pretty much straight down the line peat and sherry nose. Silky and slightly medicinal with iodine, burnt wood, peat, salt and coffee. The iodine note becomes more pronounced with time.
The palate is quite tannic but the sweet raisinated fruit balances. Dry peat, menthol, iodine and peat smoke follows, but the sherry is very dominant. Masked, smoky, herbal finish with lingering sweet sherried fruit.
Water lessens the sherry a bit and allows some orange and tangerine to come through. Less peat, iodine and menthol too. The palate is still sweet but meatier and smokier and still sherried.
