Tasted: Apr 2021

A big, juicy and voluptuously honeyed nose. Plenty of barley, apricot, melon and nectarine notes appear along with some subtle sawdusty, mature American oak and citrus. Pleasantly deep with developing herbal/ heathery notes.

The palate is soft and supple with sweet barley and a good dollop of honey, vanilla and subtle dried apricot. A lovely seam of citrus balances the sweetness and the buttery vanilla oak comes through on the middle. The honey and oak notes hold through to the finish where they are joined buy some subtle spice, toffee and heathery notes. Still a damn fine bottling!
