Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot 2021 Savigny-les-Beaune Blanc
Elegant, pure and beautifully textured, Giboulot’s Savigny-les-Beaune Chardonnay delivers fresh and rounded notes of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers and a gentle hazelnut richness. This is a perfect companion to Christmas Eve traditions and/or Christmas day starters and “afters” – think buttery scallops, smoked salmon or a leisurely grazing of a cheese board.
Domaine Jean-Michel Giboulot 2020 Savigny-les-Beaune Rouge
With its silken tannins, red berry charm and aromatic hints of forest floor and game, this oak-aged Pinot Noir feels like a walk through the woods in winter. A superb match for most any roast bird, stuffing and all the trimmings. Will not blink in the face of a pungent cheese either! One to add finesse and depth to the most classic Christmas day dishes.
Domaine Daniel Crochet 2023 Sancerre Blanc
A crystalline, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc that reflects the crisp, freshness of the season, bursting with zesty citrus, apple and white peach notes. This is one to cut through the richness of indulgent festive fancies like a baked brie or goat’s cheese, to give razor-like focus to a seafood platter and to gently temper the herbaceous and zingy tones of a much-needed leafy salad dish. Domaine Daniel Crochet 2022 Sancerre Rouge
An under-the-radar Christmas gem, Daniel Crochet’s Loire Pinot Noir has lively and bright red and dark berry fruits, hints of minerality, freshness and delicate spice. Ideal for charcuterie boards, glazed ham, Boxing Day pork pie, or warming Christmas Eve dinners when lift, vibrancy and freshness rather than weight and power are what’s required.
Cristia Collection 2023 Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc
A beautifully rounded blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne that offers notes of pear, confit citrus, and white flower pollen. A perfect foil for the rich and comforting, creamy seasonal dishes, favouring chicken and white fish, but also carrying the zest and brightness to sidle up closely to a late-night pear, walnut and blue cheese salad.
Domaine de Cristia 2024 Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge
A classic Rhône red of Grenache and Syrah – generous, warm and delightfully spiced.
