A lovely dense nose which is showing quaite a bit of maturity. An abundance of orchard fruit, baked apple, apricot, barley and a little nutty marzipan. The oak becomes pleasantly creamy with time and the fruit becomes fleshy. Late nippy spice and lemon.
The palate is full, barley’d and autumnal. Again, orchard fruit and darker marzipan notes. Hints of leather, walnut, muscovado sugar, mature apple and wood spice on the middle. Long, nippy, citrus finish with a touch of tobacco leaf, baked fruit and lingering marzipan.
