Re- Tasted: Jun 2021
The nose kicks off with toasted almonds and lightly herbal rummy dried fruit. Some column still dried fruit emerges along with hints of wood smoke, malt, dark berry fruit and slightly peppery spice.
The palate opens with juicy, slightly raisinated and spicy dried rummy fruit and hints of darker column still dried fruit and spice. A little grippy on the middle as the toasted almond oak appears, but it’s balanced by a developing oily banana skin character. Good length with lingering juicy dried fruit and a pleasant spiciness.
