Mestres 2013 Cava Millesime Clos Damiana
Tasting Note
The 2013 Clos Damiana is very fresh and lively after close to a decade in bottle in contact with the lees. It’s a wine that is not produced every year; they say they only make it in excellent years. 2013 was a cooler vintage with more rain. The base wine fermented in barrel, where it was kept with lees for one year. It has a nice combination of freshness and complexity with subtle evolution and controlled oxidation. 3,494 bottles produced. It was disgorged in November 2024.
