Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in ex-wine and sherry casks

This has a really interesting nose. Spicy and peppery rye up first followed by soft corn, mingling with subtle red fruits and dried sherry fruit. It becomes very peppery and spicy with late rye bread and vanilla.
The palate is wonderfully soft and opens with subtle rye spice and pepper. Hints of corn and toasty oak follow along with a touch of red fruit and dried sherry fruit on the middle. Quite oily and full with building pepper. Long, Bourbony finish with lingering pepper, rye spice, dark chocolate, coffee and soft tannins.
