Aromas of dusty spice, herbal spirit character and soft, juicy, dried red berry, cinnamon and unsweetened brioche (or whatever the Spanish equivalent is!) It continues to open and show vanilla ice cream, nutmeg, baked apple and minerals. Wonderfully fresh, aromatic and balanced.
The palate begins quite dusty, but the lovely creamy oak and off-sweet dried red fruit appear fairly quickly. Hints of stewed tea, Provencal herbs, almond, cinnamon buns, baked apple and grippy Frenck oak tannins follow. Spicy, juicy, succulent and mouth-watering finish with dried cherry, chocolate, toasted walnut, herbal pot pourri, vanilla and soft tannins. Lovely dry spice after-taste. Simply superb!
