Tasting Note
The Pise, is something else again! The La Cascinetta vineyard has some of the oldest vines of the region, at 70 years. They only make this wine on the best vintages. It is stiuated 400m above sea level with a south, south-west facing slope. It is kept on its lees for 12 months, (6 months longer than the Riserva). This is much broader and more complex on the palate with a distinctive saline minerality. Incredible length again. Really evolves in the glass or decanting. (VR)
