Jean-Claude Lapalu 2022 Brouilly ‘La Croix des Rameaux’
Tasting Note
Another divine entry from Jean Claude. There is sensational depth and structure here, perhaps due to the lack of destemmed fruit in barrel. Rich and complex bouquet of blackberry and mulberry scents, and almost a chalky dusty sensibility. The palate has great density but never falls into the trap of being overbearing or overpowering – it has great focus and precision. The lifting acidity and succulent fine tannins help round out this stunning Brouilly.
