James Eadie Highland (Teaninich) 11 year old 48.3%
Tasting Note
Teaninich finished for 14 months in European Oak Malaga.
Tasted: Jul 2024
The nose is slightly high toned and herbal with greengage, gooseberry and subtle sultana and dried citrus fruit. Lightly aromatic with the oak becoming slightly creamy and adding a little toffee.
The palate opens with the cask. Soft, macerated apricot, sultana, honey and hints of cashew nuts and tea leaves. The Teaninich grassiness comes through on the middle with a touch of green fruit and minerals. Long, with hints of malt, biscuits and returning dried fruit.
