Re- Tasted: Apr 2022
The nose displays a lot more peat than the last time I tasted it with youthful, rose petal strawberry Turkish delight, which seems to indicate that the spirit is a bit younger than when it was first released. Hints of barley, herbs and a good underpinning of rich spirit.
The palate is also quite young and heavily peated with a touch of slightly confected strawberry fruit and herbal peat. Hints of barley and oily spirit on the middle. Quite an astringent and smoky, bitter spice finish with subtly juicy fruit after-taste.
