Hermitage Grand Champagne Cognac Vintage 2010 (10 year old) 43%
Tasting Note
Producer Chez Richon
Tasted: Oct 2021
The nose displays a lovely fresh elegance but it’s also deep and spicy with baked apple, marzipan, dried grape and a touch of slightly grippy wood tannin.
The palate is fresh and delicate and like the nose quite spicy. Baked apple, marzipan, vanilla, clove and cinnamon notes appear along with some soft tannins. Lovely depth and intensity. Good length with lingering baked apple and vanilla. The tannins dry the after-taste a little.
