A dark, rich, full and distinctly aged rancio of pepper, cinnamon, sweet coffee, liquorice, dark baled apple, dark marzipan and dark chocolate. Late savoury character and hints of anise and ginger.
The palate opens with more citrus and thus gives it a lighter feeling. Baked apple, dusty chocolaty spice, ginger, and nutmeg follow. Wonderfully mature, but it has retained an amazing vibrancy. Superb length with dark roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate and dry wood spices.
