Tasting Note
Btl: 2019
Tasted: Oct 2019
Quite barley’d and floral with subtle notes of honey, malt and mature, sub-tropical fruit. Hints of sweet coffee and toffee appear but the lime juice and gooseberry notes balance. Lovely depth with a late touch of black pepper.
The palate opens quite citric – lemon and lime and makes it feel fresher and subdues the oak. A touch of Clementine, barley and some grippy tannins follow. Toffee and mature barley on the middle along with some apricot and apple. Lovely weight, mouth-feel and length which continues citric and barley’d with lingering gooseberry and spice.
