The nose opens with the astringent and herbal peat, followed by sweet barley and estery white fruit. Hints of citrus, vanilla, burnt wood and earth appear. Lovely balance with eth finishing cask not overwhelming the spirit character.
The palate is sooty and astringent with herbal peat followed by white fruit, apricot, barley and citrus. Subtly salty on the middle but that’s balanced by the slightly bubblegummy white fruit. Long, salty, barley’d and citric finish with lingering cereal and peat.
