The nose opens with the soft, sweet corn and succulent rye. A little corn oil, pepper and rye biscuits appears along with sweet vanilla and balancing edgy rye spice. With time, wood smoke, violets, macerate d apricot, and macadamia nut. Overall, it’s more biscuity than spicy.
Corn oil coated rye on the palate. Again, biscuity with hints of honey, menthol and lightly bitter rye spice. Hints of darker dried fruit, chocolate and grippy oak tannins on the middle. Long, peppery, succulent fruit finish with mellow spice notes. In conclusion: Definitely the sweeter side of rye!
