50/50 Ex-Miguel Martin Oloroso & PX cask finished.
Tasted: Dec 2023
Aromas of beeswax, shortbread biscuits and dry Oloroso dried fruit. Hints of treacle, dried citrus peel and lanolin. I’m struggling to find any distillery character.
The palate is soft with charred Oloroso dried fruit, citrus, treacle and hints of burnt raisin, dark toffee and beeswax. A little bittering tannin and spice comes through and like the nose there isn’t any distillery character evident. Good length with a very spicy finish and lingering cereal and dried fruit.
