Aromas of herbal pot Pourri and off-sweet, herbaceous honey. Loaded with luscious, dried fruit, pepper, ginger and subtle sweet vanilla oak. It takes a little while to open, but when it does, it displays a superb intensity and depth. Late Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and wood char.
The palate is very much like the nose, opening with the dense herbal honey and herbal pot Pourri petals. Hints of sweet rose oil and rose petals, ginger and spicy dried fruit. Subtle oak vanillins on the middle. Masked, sweet rose petals and Turkish delight in the finish. Now, that’s a proper rum!
Water makes the nose very herbal and floral with rose oil. A little linear perhaps but still deep. The palate is sweeter and juicer. Less herbal and less oak which makes it feel a little fresher and citric, Finished the same as neat.
