Deepr and darker than the 5 year old and showing more rich pot still character. Hints of juicy raisinated fruit joins the rummy dried fruit, but the rummy fruit dominate the sherry, which is good. With time a touch of wood smoke and warm spice.
The palate is dense and rich with again the emphasise on the pot still spirit. and molasses. Dried pricot, raisin, sultana and subtle herbal Oloroso notes follow. Lightly coffee’d and grippy/ tannic middle. Long, oily, dried fruit finish. Quite mouth-watering with lingering lighter column still dried fruit on the after-taste.
