Domaine Vincendeau 2019 Anjou Blanc ‘Le Raguenet’

Tasting Note

Introducing a classic dry Chenin from schist soils, situated above Rochefort-sur-Loire, offering breathtaking views of the Loire river and the coulees of Savennieres in the distance. Liv, the winemaker, skillfully blends grapes from her oldest vines, planted back in 1940, with those from her younger 10-year-old vines, resulting in an exceptional wine.

From the very first sip, you’ll be greeted with a delightful burst of fruit that beckons you in, while allowing the wine to breathe uncovers a remarkable mineral backbone. The nose is fresh and vibrant, exuding notes of apricot and other orchard fruits. On the palate, the wine maintains its dry character, showcasing the same delightful fruit flavours alongside a captivating “saline” minerality. There’s a great focus and clear direction, making it an all-around lovely experience.
