The expressive “Le Mont-Poulain” reveals aromas of hazelnut with buttery and spicy accents, white flowers, apricots and peaches. On the palate, it displays and exquisite degree of finesse. It is full-bodied, unctuous, firm and persistent.
Description
The Mont-Poulain plot is located in the commune of Pommard and covers and area of 48 acres. The soil is but but not particularly stony, composed mainly of alluvium and silt from the Saône. Rich in clay, it allows the vines to acclimatise well and to be able to grow without difficulty. The vines are grassed in between the row and ploughed under the row.
