Tasting Note
Corinna’s 2018 Beaumes de Venise is a beautfully juicy, harmoniously balanced and wonderfully mineral expression of this appellation. From very iron-rich triassic soils this wine offers up terrific spice, and gorgeously ripe juniper bush, kirsch, plum and blackberry-like fruit on the palate to go with medium-bodied richness. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, it has outstanding purity of fruit and a Provençal, savory style, alongside it’s bright acidic lift and minerality that make it a joy to drink. Enjoy bottles over the coming 4-5 years, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve nicely for longer.
