Domaine de Rocheville 2013 Saumur Blanc ‘Clos de Thibaudiere’
Tasting Note
The first time I tasted the Clos de Thibausiere, initially the aroma and flavour, was so astonishing, all I could say was, ‘Wow!’ This was something else! Produced from the higher altitude vineyards in Breze, the Clos is a classic example from the chalky/limestone terroir here, which are naturally high in PH and result in distinctly piercing, mineral wines with a marked acidity. This is sensational, strict and tight with fabulous purity, amazing precision and incredible length, flying straight down the line.
