Produced from an exceptionally concentrated plot of Syrah, with a hint of Mouvedere, the Ursus is an expressive and powerful, classic Southern French red. Deep garnet red in the glass. The nose is very aromatic with powerful notes of black cherry and blackberry, enhanced by a pretty array of spices, earthy notes and leather. The wine expands nicely in the mouth, the silky tannins are well integrated with a structured body, a nice intensity, while retaining an appreciable freshness. This is a voluptuous wine, with great precision, length and depth. A beauty that can be drunk now or kept back for around 10 years.
