The nose is salty, citric and displays plenty of Caol Ila character. Hints of pepper, roasted meat, barley, vanilla and subtle white fruits. With time some sweeter peat notes emerge.
The palate is fresh and citric opening with Islay peat and white fruit. Barley, vanilla and a touch of medicinal peat emerges along with sweet apricot, pepper and salt. Lovely intensity and slightly creamy middle. Long, peppery, youthful finish with a little malt and plenty of salt. Lightly medicinal, white chocolate after-taste.
