Clos de Trias 2019 Ventoux Rouge
Tasting Note
This intensely coloured, extraordinarily expressive red wine delivers a juicy, full and rich mouth-feel with lots of satisfying complexity. I truly believe that when it comes to value for this is the greatest bargain of the wine world, and it is only the ‘entry’ level of his range. The sheer quality of the liquid in the bottle her boggle the mind, spending a remarkable 5 years in barrel, this wine is (unbelievably) wonderfully alive with plenty of deep ripe red fruits, black plums, grilled meats and spices on nose and palate. Long finish with mineral notes. Medium, smooth tannins. It is very suited to red meat with Provencal herbs (thyme, rosemary, sage). This wine would benefit from decanting up to an hour before serving if possible.
