Chateau de Saint Cosme 2012 Hermitage ‘La Pierrelle’

Tasting Note

Voluptuous and well-made Hermitage, that has really opened and is drinking gloriously come 2018. Dark tinted and deep rouge dress. Opens up with strong coffee and coconut aromas, on the nose initially, followed by blackberry fruit, raspberry and smoke. Although dense and complex and there is refined restraint here. Great waves of black fruit roll through the palate along with a crisp minerality and a pretty feminine ripeness. It is rich and flinty with an unavoidable finish.
