Carlos Lucas Vinhos 2020 Cota 700 Dao
Tasting Note
The Cota 700, receives no oak treatment, with Carlos opting to produce a wine which is refined and fresh. Bright red, almost violet in the glass, the Cota erupts with pure black mulberry, raison and blackberry fruits on the nose with a light nuance of pine needles and gentle smokiness. A mix of Touriga Nacional (40%), Alfrocheiro (30%) and Tinta-Roriz (30%), the wine is elegant, fresh and lively on the palate, with a pleasant acidity, followed by a touch of sweetness of the finish. It will pair wonderfully with a variety of Portuguese style dishes, such as, duck rice, oven-baked cod, cured sausages, grilled chicken and pasta.
