Black Bush Blend 40%
Tasting Note
Re-Tasted: Aug 2020
The nose displays a lot more sherry influence than I remember, but it is still well balanced with barley, citrus and subtle, yet nippy grain. Quite dark and raisinated with wood smoke and hints of American oak.
The palate opens with barley and vanilla. The sherries dried fruits are subtler but pleasantly sweet and juicy. Good malty middle with a touch of wood smoke and spice. Finishes with crisp grain and lingering, sweet raisinated fruit, spice and creamy vanilla.
