Tasting Note
Batch 200358
Btl: Jun 2020
Tasted: Dec 2021
The nose opens with some slighly high toned sherry, raisin, sultana, date and prune. Subtle vanilla and tarry peat smoke follows. Showing some lovely maturity and late gooseberry and lime.
The palate is soft and smoky with darker dried fruit and more pronounced vanilla. Dry, tannic spice, raisin, prune and grippy tannins lead into a lovely spiced middle. Long, vanilla, tar, peat smoke and astringent phenolic finish with tongue tingling spices and an austere herbal after-taste. Quite wild and sherried but fun!
