Derived mash bill: 76% Corn, 20% Rye, 4% Malted Barley
Finished in Mizunara Casks for 18 months.

Although the rye comprises only 20% of the blend it is noticeable straight off the bat. Dusty and spice rye mingles with more youthful herbal rye and herbal accented corn. Hints of sawdust, apricot, straw, vanilla and sappy Mizunara notes follow. With time lemon, ginger, musky flowers and floral honey.
The palate is full and oily with plenty of sappy oak and vanilla. The dusty rye follows along with a fair amount of tannin, coffee, ginger, pepper anise and dry corn. Masked, bitter spice, biscuits, roasted corn, dark chocolate and dry spice finish.
Water brings out some orange, tangerine and clementine notes. It also brings out more of the Mizuanara cask, a touch of buttered scone and some floral, slightly perfumed notes. On the palate it is wonderfully juicy with a little more oak and less spice. Still very complex with chocolaty tannins and dark rye bread on the middle. Longer, juicer finish but still remaining a little dry. Cherry and vanilla after-taste.
