Baracchi 2021 Cortana Sangiovese DOC ‘Smeriglio’
Tasting Note
The Smeriglio Sangiovese, offers a real touch of class. Aged for 12 months in French oak and six months in bottle, this super Sangiovese combines wonderful ripe, pure fruits, with subtle spice and minerality. It has an intense ruby red colour in the glass, followed by a nose which reveals enticing aromas of violets and cherries. Spicy notes of juniper berries and balsamic hints jump out on a body with has depth and intensity but which is fresh at the same time. This is delicious, well structured and superbly balanced.
