The nose opens with some subtle rose Turkish delight, followed by vanilla, bruised apple, apricot, honey and delicate smoke. The almost tropical fruit – peach and pear come through late along with a touch of banana and barley, but very little peat.
The displays plenty of oily barley, peat smoke and vanilla. Subtle rose Turkish delight follows along with apple, apricot and building citrus notes. Slightly spicy middle with bracken and green peat. Long, barley and apricot finish with oily marzipan and a slightly astringent aftertaste. Less peat influenced than some of the previous releases.
