A lovely nose of fresh barley and fresh red fruit. A little dusty portwood tannin and earthy peat appears along with roasted coffee, sweet cherry, subtle sun dried raisin, earth and smoke (to keep the midges away!)
The palate opens with the earthy port fruit and hints of spice, burnt wood, earthy peat and vanilla. A little barley, white fruit and citrus comes through on the middle. Well balanced and not as raw/ spirity as the 2024 release. Good length with soft, dusty spice, dusty peat, and tannin. Overall, this midge is less irritating than last years!
