A wonderfully mature nose of rich dried tropical fruit, molasses and toasty vanilla. A gorgeous seam of citrus runs through the nose and balances the richness of the fruit. Hints of tobacco, coffee, orange peel, dark honey and earth emerge.
The palate is exceedingly soft and smooth with a good complexity of mature, dried tropical fruit, apricot and subtle molasses. Again, lovely balancing thread of citrus throughout. Hints of toasty oak, lightly bitter tannins, coffee, tobacco and dark chocolate come through. Long, elegant, lightly spiced and subtly meaty (smoked bacon) finish with pure vanilla pod, cigar smoke and tobacco leaf finish.
