Tasted: Sept 2018
An intense but softly oaked nose with lemon, vanilla and subtle peppery white fruit. Lightly smoky and earthy with developing, gritty, almost French oak tannins.
The palate opens with plenty of vanilla and smoke, followed by subtle white fruit and a touch of balancing astringent agave. Quite toasty on the middle with grippy tannins and sweet fruit. Long and peppery with lingering pepper!
