Domaine Daniel Crochet 2024 Sancerre Blanc

This a superb, classic Sauvignon. Vinified and matured for around 10 months in vat, with regular battonage, there is a pristine, purity here. In complete contrast to the two preceding vintages, 2024 was a cooler vintage, with incredibly challenging conditions, from Spring until harvest. Consequently, there is a big variation in quality between producers, but the results are surprisingly good, with the wines showing lovely clean aromatics and fine, elegant balance. The 2024 Sancerre Blanc from Daniel Crochet, is a great success. The wine has a fabulous intensity and minerality, combined with beautiful ripeness and racy acidity. Very classic in profile, with super intensity, but real finesse.
