Domaine Daniel Crochet 2023 Sancerre Le Grand Chemarin

Description

Planted in 1988, the Le Grand Chemarin is located next to the Plante de Pres, sharing a similar limestone terroir. With a south-easterly aspect, the micro-climate is slightly cooler here. The wine is fermented and aged for 12 months in amphorae, with regular battonage. Amazing concentration on the nose, with floral aromas combining with tantalizing, ripe fruit, citrus acidity and super minerality. Incredible intensity on the palate, possessing a wonderful balance of rich fruit and minerlity, together with real energy and drive. There is a fabulous seamless quality here with an impressively long, fine finish.
