2023 Cristia Collection Cotes du Rhone Blanc
Tasting Note
This CDR has been matured for six months in concrete tanks, originating from the sandy soils on the west side of the Rhone River near Laudun. A clean and clear golden yellow colour in the glass with hints of emerald. The nose is delicious and pronounced, featuring ripe yellow and white stone fruits like apricot and peach, along with white flowers that add a touch of freshness. Round and full on the palate, there is a lovely balance of all the elements here. The finish is long and elevated by a refreshing mineral line.
This robust white wine is made from 50% Viognier, 20% Grenache Blanc, 15% Clairette, and 15% Roussanne grapes. The vines, planted in clay and sandy soils, are on average 30 years old.
