Domaine Constant Duquesnoy 2018 Cairanne Quintessence
Tasting Note
A blend of Syrah (45%), Grenache (40%), Carignan (10%) and a pinch of Viognier (5%), this is a brilliant flagship example of Cairanne. Chock full of unctuous and dense blackfruits, with a slately mineral line and good acidity. There is serious structure here with some spice and earthy notes in the background, however the balance is truly harmonious and the focus and delineation here is superb. Clean and long on the finish.
