Dense, oily corn and subtle dark, youthful rye. Hints of tobacco and vanilla. The oak adds more structure than vanillins.
The palate also displays a good intensity of oily rather than fat corn. Quite earthy with slightly drying tannins and dark rye spice. A little sweet oak and toffee balances the dryness and there’s a lovely almost salty minerality on the middle. Good length with the salty/ mineral notes lingering along with toffee, corn and rose petal spirit notes.
