Glencadam 10 year old 46%
Tasting Note
Re-Tasted: Aug 2014
The nose displays less tropical fruit than previous but more herbal barley. However the fruit is still there in a light honeyed/ perfumed form. Hints of peach, pear, tangerine and pineapple emerge along with some creamy oak and sweet spice.
The palate is like the nose, opening with a touch of digestive biscuit, mash tun notes, barley and lightly oiled tropical pineapple, peach, apricot and orange. Some lovely honeyed notes come through on the middle as does a touch of creamy oak. Long, slightly grassy and citrusy finish. Its still one of my favourite 10 year olds!
Please note that the branded Glencairn glass is not included with this bottle. It however can be purchased separately for £8.95
