The nose is aromatic and lightly grapey with subtle sweet dried apple, apricot aromas and hints of earth and vanilla. Give the grape varieties have now changed it still retains the elegance of the old bottling, but the Baco adds a subtle foxiness, which the old bottling didn’t have. With time hints of roasted coffee bean and almond paste.
The palate is light, and elegant with dried apple, grape and apricot. Hints of sweet vanilla and subtle wood tannins/ spice follow. Gently earthy middle with hints of almond and roast chestnut. Long with lingering dried fruit, spice and almond.
