A dense, mature oxidised rancio greets the nose, followed by silky sweet orange, lime and lightly creamy oak. Hints of sweet spice, sultana, dried grape and minerals. Lovely depth and maturity, which still retains a vibrant edge.
The palate is rich, unctuous and oily with a beautiful depth of oxidised apple, grape and darker, baked fruit. Earth, duty spice, old wood and vanilla appear along with some sweeter apple, citrus, vanilla oil and a little midnight violet on the middle. Long, succulent mature yet vibrant finish.
